Hello and welcome to the online home of Search and Salvage. We are located in Sebastian, Florida, home of the some of the richest and most productive treasure wrecks in history. This is the famed "Treasure Coast" where 11 of the 12 ships of the Spanish Plate Fleet came ashore during a tremendous hurricane on July 31, 1715, sustaining over 1000 casualties and spilling registered cargo worth 6,388,020 pesos and untold millions more in unregistered cargo. Included on the manifest of one of the ships wrecked upon our shores were the "Queen's Jewels", 62 chests of gifts meant as a dowry from the King of Spain to the young Duchess of Parma, Elizabeth Farnese, none of which have ever been found.
During the 400 years that sailing ships plied the waters off the East Coast of Florida, hundreds more ships wrecked on the beaches of the Treasure Coast providing an unparalleled opportunity for shallow water recovery of historical artifacts. |
